Goodnight Stories For Rebel Girls 2

Authors:Francesca Cavallo and Elena Favilli

Hedy Lamarr, Mary Seacole, Pauline Léon, these are only few of the 200 extraordinary woman featured in this book. All put into mini biographies but have a huge meaning. They all have their unique stories and journeys, some from not very long ago shared in this book and you can pick up a lot from it.

                         What is it about?
This book is about 200 women who weren't afraid to be who they were or to speak up for what they believed in. To fight for the right thing and reach their goal. To strive to achieve the impossible.

                         Who is this book for?
I think this book is for anyone, boy or girl, 5 or 50. Everyone can learn from these stories and different meaning. Some words in the book are a bit tricky but there's also a glossary at the back of the book if you don’t know what something means. This book had lots of different stories in it so some of them were boring, some had lot’s of action and all sorts.

Sarinya Srisakul biggest dream was to become a firefighter. No one thought she could because one she was a woman and two she was from Asia but she was determined. She trained hard in boot camps and learnt how to deal with all situations. She made it into the New York Fire Department and became the first Asian woman firefighter.

People like Sarinya have inspired me in so many different ways and you never know, your name could be in the Goodnight Stories For Rebel Girls to come. You don’t need anyone to tell you that you can do it.You just have to believe it yourself.
