THE BIG DARK - BOOK REVIEW BY LAURA TE-KIRA

The Big Dark By Rodman Philbrick This book is set in the town of New Hampshire.  Suddenly the Village electricity fails - every cell phone, computer, car engine, battery suddenly stops functioning and the whole village turns to a whole new world filled of adventures, resilience and teamwork, and the village is all dark.  They work together to try and survive as long as they can.  It left you on a cliffhanger and leaves you on the edge of your seat.  It was action-filled, scary,  mischievous  and definitely dark.  The characters were determined  to find the person who did this and tried every power source around their house.  They are definitely charming and nice - they let people into their houses and let them stay because their homes are too far and they are scared to walk back.  I would recommend this book if you were looking for something with action, that is scary and something long but easy to read (also something challenging because there are some hard words).
